VALLNORD MOUNTAIN PARK

The activity hub of the Vallnord Mountain Park is located in the Pal sector of the Vallnord-Pal Arinsal resort, next to the La Massana cable car station. The park offers a wealth of activities for guests of all ages and skill levels, and caters for both adventurous users, those looking for something a little calmer and everyone in between!

Don’t forget to visit our Arinsal sector, part of the Vallnord-Pal Arinsal resort, where Trial and BMX activities are held. And for fans of e-bikes – we’ve got you covered, too! We’re proud to be including this new sports discipline to our offering, with routes for all skill levels, ranging from beginner all the way to expert. The e-bike circuits can be found in the Pal sector and go from Pla de la Cubella all the way to Coll de la Botella.

Discover Vallnord Mountain Park

For the park’s most adventurous visitors, we offer the Vallnord Bike Park, one of southern Europe’s largest and most impressive mountain bike areas. During the summer months the park is home to major mountain bike competitions, which come to Vallnord for the high quality of its facilities and equipment. It’s the ideal destination for mountain bike lovers.

Vallnord Bike Park features no less than 29 circuits for all skill levels – perfect for beginners and experts alike. In the Pal sector, you’ll discover downhill courses, enduro, cross-country, four-cross circuits and the Wood Park. The downhill school, run by local rider Soraya Drici, offers classes for visitors of all levels. Aided by her team of trainers, Soraya loves sharing her passion and expertise with class participants, all under the strictest health and safety standards. And for the little ones, Vallnord Mountain Park also has its very own Kids Bike Park, specially designed for younger cyclists. Here kids can enjoy their own downhill courses and even a mini Wood Park!

Fancy something calmer? Why not try one of our hiking trails, suitable for couples, with friends or as a family group. There are multiple hiking routes available to choose from, all well-signposted with essential and relevant information – elevation difference, distance, rest areas, etc. – and ideal for enjoying nature and taking in the stunning summer landscapes! A fan favourite is the Camí de Sobirans, measuring 2.5 km in length (1.5 miles) and 80 m in elevation difference, but if you’re up for something a little more challenging, you can always brave the Camí del Vedat, 3.51 km long (2.2 miles) and no less than 720 m in elevation difference!

Activities at Vallnord Mountain Park

Vallnord Mountain Park includes a fully equipped children’s area featuring a wide range of fun activities for our younger users. Kids can enjoy the mini Mercedes-Benz circuit, an electric trainarchery activities, a ropes park, a kid-sized zip line, a mazetubes, an e-karting circuit and Pekepark, a full theme park specially designed for kids aged 11 and under. Pekepark features inflatable structures, slides, ball pits, rope bridges, climbing walls, trampolines and much more, ensuring the little ones are kept entertained for hours in an active but safe environment.

The Mercedes-Benz circuit, for example, is located right in the centre of Plaça de la Caubella, just next to the e-karting circuit. It’s suitable for children aged from 3 to 6, and they can drive Mercedes-Benz cars with electric motors and pedals on their own! The electric train is another fantastic activity for the little ones – this automated train follows a five-minute, closed circuit in the shape of an oval, equipped with both one-person and two-people seats. This attraction is suitable for children aged between 18 months and 5 years and can also be found in the Plaça de la Caubella, where the Mercedes-Benz circuit is.

Another great option for kids is our dedicated Pekepark, suitable for our visitors aged 4 to 11. The kids are fully and continually monitored by supervisors who join in the fun with them, so you can relax in the knowledge that they are in the safest of hands and having a great time with the activities on offer, including ball pools, trampolines, climbing walls, swings, slides. etc.

There are many activities for adults too. There’s disc golf, for example. Known as “frisbee golf” or “frolf”, the sport was invented back in the 70s and consists of throwing a disc from hole to hole, the objective being to complete the course in the fewest throws. The game can be played solo or in groups of up to four players. All you need to play is your hands and a Frisbee! Disc golf takes place in the Pal-Arinsal forest and games usually last around four hours. Guaranteed fun for players of all ages!

There’s so much more at Vallnord Mountain Park to keep our adult visitors entertained, such as 4x buggies, completing our e-karting circuit, playing pétanque, going on orienteering courses, hiking, trying out our ropes course adventure or even throwing yourself down a 338-m zip line with a 28-m descent on the Big Zip – are you brave enough?!

Our 4×4 buggies are a world of fun, too – the routes designed for these buggy outings go through low-difficulty mountain tracks, and always follow a road-book. There’s even a short 30-minute easy route, the best option by far for beginners in the world of 4×4 and off-road driving.
