NATURLAND

Naturland is a massive park with thrilling rides for everyone, located in a beautiful natural setting with the chance to see large animals native to the Pyrenean mountain region! Quite simply, what more could you wish for? It’s just the ticket for all-round, active, family fun.

The leisure park itself, found in the parish of Sant Julià de Lòria, covers a full 800 hectares in the middle of a forest in the La Rabassa region and is open all year round, with plenty of activities for visitors to experience, come rain or shine. The park is divided into two separate spaces of different altitudes. The esplanade with the main rides can be found at 1,600 m (5,250 ft) above sea level, whereas the space at 2,000 m (6,560 ft) above sea level is home to the starting point of many of the circuits.

Naturland, as you can imagine, offers a wealth of activities and surprises for guests of all ages. In particular, two stand out as truly unmissable experiences: Tobotronc and Airtrekk. The first of these has the honour of being the world’s longest Alpine toboggan, measuring in at an eye-watering 5.3 km (3.3 mi) in length with a descent of no less than 400 m (1,300 ft)! Definitely not for the faint-hearted. It’s a heart-stopping descent on a railed two-man sled, whooshing past the trees of the La Rabassa forest at top speeds. Tobotronc is suitable for adults and children over 1.2 m (3 ft 11) tall.

Discover Naturland

The second unmissable experience at Naturland is our very own Airtrekk, a unique aerial circuit designed to test the balance of children and adults alike. Don’t worry, it’s 100% safe and secure! Harnesses will keep users in place, and a rock-solid safety guide is in use to ensure everyone feels safe  while having a great time. The route is built on a 13.5 m (44 ft) high wooden structure, with no less than 54 obstacles and its Airtrekk’s own zip line measuring 180 m (5,900 feet) in length.

The little ones are of course more than welcome at Naturland! They can enjoy our pony rides, our kid-sized toboggans (in both tubby and minitubby versions), as well as old-school favourites, such as trampolines and bouncy castles. There are some sporty activities for them too, such as archery, or they can unleash their inner creativity in our face-painting workshops.

For slightly older kids and adult family members, we offer our Xtrem Jump activity4×4 buggy circuits and even guided hikes for something a little calmer. The thrilling Xtrem Jump consists of leaping into the void from a giant inflatable platform with two available heights, either 2 meters (6.5 ft) or 4 meters (13 ft). This activity is located in the part of the park situated at 1,600 m (5,250 ft) above sea level and is suitable for both children and adults, provided they are at least 1.2 m (3 ft 11) tall. Xtrem Jump is only available in the summer months.

Activities at Naturland

You may consider taking a break from activities and rides, and explore Naturland and the beauty of its landscapes. If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, you’ll want to do so in a 4×4 buggy! Buggies are available for groups of two or four people. Routes last one hour and go along paths and forests of La Rabassa, up to the Pic Negre mountain. You’ll be travelling together with one of our experienced guides, who will stop along the way so you can take photos, and will also share all the fascinating secrets and stories of the itinerary with you, adding a whole other dimension to the experience! Shorter, 30-minutes routes are also available. Do note, however, that this activity is not included in the full park ticket and must be purchased separately.

Fancy swapping all the physical activity for something a little quieter and more educational? We’ve got you covered! You’ll definitely want to check out our dedicated Naturland Nature Classroom, a place to discover the area’s natural surroundings and where children and adults alike will learn to recognise the wealth of flora and fauna of the La Rabassa forest as well as renewing their respect for nature. Visitors with a keen interest in the natural world will have a field day at the Nature Classroom, with its large display of plants, fossils and insects. See if you can recognise animal prints in the forest, on trees or even in the snow!

Ever tried archery before? Well, now’s your chance! Our archery activity is fully supervised by expert instructors, who are on hand to explain the full range of the sport’s techniques. This activity is included in your Naturland general access ticket (at no extra charge), and is open to guests both in the summer and winter months. Do make sure to check the opening times for the season before planning your activities at Naturland.
